The Portuguese Parliament has now an Interactive Space aiming to increase people’s involvement in National Politics.
It is proverbial to say that the Parliament is the home of Democracy. Government of the People, by the People, for the People. However, in practice, it is difficult to get people involved in politics at a national level.
To try to solve this issue with a touch of innovation and creativity, several interactive solutions have been installed in the old refectory of the monks.

Two 55’’ multitouch displays, installed on a cube located in the center of the room, allow visitors to explore the composition of the Portuguese Parliament, dissect constituencies, know all the deputies, interact with photos of Parliament presidents and of Parliament facilities since the early days of the First Republic, test their knowledge by answering quizzes, among many other educational contents.
As a complement, six tablets were installed on the sides of the cube, showing the websites of all the political parties represented in the Parliament.
