EDIGMA is Tech Partner of the Open Call for Young Computational Artists

Where technology, art and culture come together to create new possibilities for a new generation of artists.

EDIGMA is proud to be the Tech Partner of the Open Call – Young Computational Artists, part of the “Rudolfo Quintas — 25 Years of Digital Art” project, an initiative promoted by CAAA – Centro para os Assuntos da Arte e Arquitectura, VNBM – Venha a Nós a Boa Morte and LAC – Laboratório de Actividades Criativas, with curatorship by Liliana Coutinho.

The Open Call aims to select three young artists, Portuguese or based in Portugal, aged up to 35, with an artistic practice in the field of computational art. Each selected artist will receive a €6,000 artistic fee, as well as access to an artistic residency, production support, technical guidance and artistic and conceptual mentoring.

For EDIGMA, this partnership represents a natural meeting point between two dimensions that have always been part of our DNA: technology and culture.

Applications are open until 15 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. The three selected artists will be publicly announced on 16 October 2026. The programme will run from November 2026 through 2027, culminating in a group exhibition at Quinta da Cruz – Centro de Arte Contemporânea, in Viseu.

If you are an artist working at the intersection of art and technology, this Open Call could be an opportunity to take your practice further.
