A Journey Through History

The Pinhel City Hall decided to enhance its castle by creating the Interpretive Center of the Castle and Territories of Pinhel, a project aimed at enhancing culture and local identity, as well as upgrading the public space. Classified as a National Monument, it is an attractive and culturally active Interpretive Center through interactive and inclusive solutions.

EDIGMA is proud to be part of this cultural project, which contributed to improving visits and providing new experiences, as well as promoting knowledge and local identity. The exhibition is distributed over the two towers of the castle, for a full and immersive visiting experience, where EDIGMA intervened from the conception of the idea to the design, management and implementation of the entire project.

Scenography

The two towers of the Interpretation Center are filled with panels with an appealing design, intended to tell the various stories and information of the Center. At the entrance the visitor has the opportunity to check the exhibition information in both towers, with the purpose of connecting the exhibition between the towers..

Mural with a 3D replica

The Mural is one of the first interactions of the visitor with the history of the exhibition, with a representation of what life was like in the castle. The goal is to simplify the exhibition in a more dynamic expressive way, so that it captivates and informs the visitor.

Interactive table

The interactive table presents a timeline, which allows you to create involvement between the visitor, the history of the Castle, and the various historical points of Pinhel.

Projection

There are two projections in the exhibition. One of them, located in the first tower, consists of a series of animations that tell the history and the contribution of Pinhel in the Battle of Aljubarrota, as well as the legend of the Falcon. The second projection, also composed of a series of animations is located in the second tower, with content representative of the construction of the Castle.

VR Glasses

In a more immersive way, Edigma included virtual reality glasses in the exhibition. These VR goggles allow visitors to see what it was like to go from floor to floor, as well as visualize what the structure of the towers looked like.

3D App

The application developed allows you to have information about the two towers, about the various points of the history of the Interpretive Center, as well as access to the projected stories. Now the visitor has available in his hand the entire exhibition without missing any information about it.
