The Romantic Museum is settled in an old country house in an estate called “Quinta do Sacramento” or “Quinta da Macieirinha”, where Charles Albert of Savoy, king of Piedmont and Sardinia, lived during his exile and until his death, in July 1849. Inaugurated in 1972, the Museum recreates the presence of King Charles Albert, also featuring a set of models and pieces used in Porto in the 19th century.

During the last renewal of the whole setting EDIGMA was challenged to develop new solutions and multimedia content to provide information about the second half of the nineteenth century.
