From Azores to the Center of the Earth
Located at the core of the protected landscape of the Pico Island vineyard culture, the Volcanoes’ House represents the starting point for the knowledge of the volcanoes of the Azores and an important tool for spreading the heritage, with special emphasis on geodiversity.
EDIGMA was part of this odyssey where it conceived and implemented avant-garde technological solutions, which allow you to experience sensations such as travel to the center of the Earth or the simulation of an earthquake through a simulator.

Knowledge Modules
The modules that introduce knowledge into space are distinct, enabling the exploration of themes like the formation of the Universe or the micro-reliefs that we can find in the Azores.
Through a dome permanently installed in this place it is possible to make a trip to the center of the earth, in an immersive environment created by the sensory capsule
The 360º projection gives the space a set of emotions that lead the visitor to feel in the center of the planet. It is clearly a tribute to the foresighted imagination of Júlio Verne.

Seismic Simulator
A second piece that makes the Volcanoes’ House a unique place in the panorama of the pedagogical dissemination of knowledge about the deep life of planet Earth, is the educational seismic simulator complemented with virtual reality glasses.
This simulator, capable of moving in three directions and thus inducing physical and psychological sensations of great realism, comes with a library of earthquakes that have already occurred.
