Using interactive systems in a proper manner can be an effective way to reduce the anxiety and discomfort resulting from visiting these stressful environments.
Interactivity
All the interactive systems implemented in the Pediatrics contribute to the Hospital’s purpose of providing an enjoyable experience to children.
The Hospital’s mascot, Vasco, is present in all games and applications created by EDIGMA in order to further increase the emotional bond between children and Vasco.
Vasco is a discoverer who represents children’s natural curiosity, and has a decisive role in humanizing the entertaining experience provided to children.
With EDIGMA Moovit, the Pediatrics floor comes alive, surprising children, and leading them to engage intuitively with the projected contents.
Playing with the interactive floor, children can colorize funny images, play a memory game or swim in a sea and play with fishes, just by moving around.
The images and effects that appear on the floor are changed using a backoffice, to assure that contents are renewed frequently.
Crayon
With EDIGMA Crayon and Crayon Wall, children can play games like “Catch acorns”, make puzzles, paint and play the “Heal the giraffe” game.
While children play with the Crayons, they are having fun and learning at the same time, always with the Vasco mascot on their side.
Children will never be afraid of returning to Lusíadas Pediatrics. In fact, they will even look forward to come back, just to play again with the Crayons!
Interactive Wall
A huge 3,7 m curved interactive wall with more Vasco games is available in the Pediatrics waiting room.
Children can paint Vasco and his friends, play the “Hide and seek” game or try to keep the rocket in the air.
When it’s a child’s turn to see the doctor, the Interactive Wall shows a rocket with his name and the doctor’s office number.
